County minor Barry Dardis scored a hat-trick of goals as holders Summerhill eased to a hoganstand.com SFC Group A win over Nobber.

Declan McCabe's men finished with 20 points to spare over Nobber to post their third win from four SFC outings.

It leaves Summerhill on top of the group on score difference and on course for the quarter-finals.

Dardis also put two points to his name to finish with 3-2 to his credit. David Larkin bagged a brace of goals and closed the scoring with a fine point.

By the end seven different Summerhill players were on the scoresheet and all bar three points of their tally came from play.

Three Brian Ennis frees accounted for those scores which arrived in the second-half.

Nobber had Gordon Weldon dismissed on receipt of a second yellow card six minutes after the resumption with the board reading 5-7 to 0-3.

Ennis landed the subsequent free. However from there to the end the Nobber outscored Summerhill by 0-5 to 0-4.

The outcome leaves Nobber with one point (from a draw with Duleek/Bellewstown) from their four SFC outings to date.

Dardis landed his sole second-half score in the 47th minute before being withdrawn as a precautionary measure having picked up a knock.

Within two minutes of the off Larkin netted the opening goal with midfielder Damien Byrne providing the assist.

Brian Farrell was the only Nobber man to register more than one score and opened his account from a second minute free.

Summerhill hit back with Dardis' opening goal. They set about adding to their green flag tally but had to wait until the 16th minute for the next one.

Paul Rispin provided the assist for Dardis to leave it 3-3 to 0-1. County man Ciaran Gillespie added a fine point from distance.

Darren Lambe posted Nobber first score from play in the 24th minute to leave it 0-2 to 3-4.

Dardis' third goal was the final score of the half and left it 4-5 to 0-3 at the break. Within two minutes of the restart Larkin got in for his second goal and it 5-7 to 0-3.
