Carnaross kept their unbeaten B League run going with a comfortable victory at home to Clann na nGael.

Enda Gillic split the posts in the first minute for Carnaross but the opening fifteen minutes remained tight as both sides traded two points each with Liam Brogan and Rory O'Connor hitting the target for Carnaross. The home side then pulled away with three points from Stephen Dawson, John Carpenter and Ollie Murphy to take a four point lead after twenty minutes. Clann na nGael had the chance to get back into the game but a fine double save from Shane McNiffe in the Carnaross goals resulted in them only scoring a point from the second attempt. Carnaross went down the other end and Enda Gillic took advantage of the new square ball rule by climbing highest to fist the ball to the net. Further points from Rory O'Connor (2) and John Carpenter put Carnaross well in control at the break with a 1-9 to 0-3 lead.

After the restart, both sides hit two points each with Rory O'Connor scoring for Carnaross. John Ward finished off a fine move with a goal after fifteen minutes which put Carnaross out of sight. Enda Gillic added another point for Carnaross before Clann na nGael scored a well taken goal late on. Rory O'Connor finished the scoring for Carnaross to finish off a fine team performance, particularly from the defensive unit who remained solid throughout.
