AFL3: Ultan's off the mark after Ballivor victory

St Ultans registered their first victory of the A League campaign after a hard earned win against a determined Ballivor side.
Ultans started the better and two Cian Rennicks points and a Kieran Lynch point had them three points ahead before ballivor scored. Paul Murray then scored a free from play to leave the score at four points to one. Ballivor tagged on a few points and Colm Travers scored a good point from play after a good team move.
Ultans had the majority of the possession and Gearoid Rennicks tagged on a point from play after a great run to leave the score at 0-5 to 0-3. Ciaran Rogers scored a point from play and after that played a major part in a St Ultans goal converted by Cian Rennicks following good work by Kieran Lynch. Score at half time was 1-8 to 0-4.
Ballivor came to life in the 2nd half and scored 2 points from play. Cian Rennicks again scored a point from a difficult angle. Gearoid rennicks came up the field again and scored another point from play. Ballivor kept battling and did not give up. They scored a goal to bring new life in the game. Cian Rennicks replied again with a point from play, a Paul Murray free and Ronan breslin point finished the game with Ultans the winners by 4 points.
