It took three injury time second half points for O'Mahonys to claim victory against Duleek/Bellewstown on a blustery Sunday afternoon in Navan. Duleek/Bellewstown could have had two goals in the opening ten minutes but for saves from Marcus Brennan but they did find the top corner of the net in the 14th minute to go 1-1 to 0-2 ahead. Playing against the strong wind in the opening half, O'Mahonys held on to go in level at the break 1-4 a piece, with a well taken goal from Henry Finnegan on the stroke of half time.

O'Mahonys started off the stronger in the second half and outscored the opposition by seven points to one in the first 22 minutes after the break. A surge from Duleek/Bellewstown in the next four minutes saw them find the net twice in quick succession to draw level and a further point saw them take the lead for the first time in the second half with just three minutes remaining. However, O'Mahonys regrouped and injury time points from Darragh Maguire, Shane Gillespie and Jake Regan gave the town side a two point victory. In total, seven players got on the scoresheet for O'Mahonys, who scored 1-13 from play.
