Despite playing against a strong first half wind, St Vincent's were 1-2 to 0-0 up after just ten minutes. Meath Hill recovered somewhat and reduced the deficit to one point at half time, 1-2 to 0-4 the score.
However to their credit, Meath Hill put in a much improved second half performance,with goals from Keith Ginnity and a Mark Tully penalty meaning they ran out comfortable winners in the end.
The aforementioned Tully and Ginnity along with Michael Byrne,when moved to centre back,were to the fore the winners.
