AFL3: Kilmainhamwood put it up to Ratoath

May 14, 2012

Kilmainhamwood's Michael Shankey
Kilmainhamwood 2-3
Ratoath 1-9

A very strong diagonal wind made it difficult for both teams to score. Ratoath, who led by 0-5 to 0-1 at the break, were guilty of some very wayward shooting and this left the wood still fighting for the result right to the end. Best for Kilmainhamwood were in defence Emmet Clarke, Sean Mulligan, Alan Carolan; Philip Moran and Richard Corbally at midfield. Early substitute Steven Smith was impressive while forwards Steven Kiernan and Michael Shankey were most prominent.

Kilmainhamwood - D McDonnall, R Corbally, E Clarke, S Russell, P Moran, S Mulligan 1-0, A Carolan, S Clarke, R Madden, H Corbally, M Shankey, J Keogan, R McGee 0-1, S Kiernan 1-1, Damien Russell 0-1. Subs - S Smith for R Madden (2 mins), A Crosby for J Keogan (40 mins).
