Na Fianna defeated hosts Clann Na Gael in Athboy on Sunday with an assured display throughout the game. Na Fianna played against the wind in the first half and were ahead 1-08 to 1-00 at half time. Conor Downey netted for the winners with Dean Barrett and Pauric Hogan among the point scorers. The second half saw Na Fianna move further ahead and two late goals from the home side were not enough to get them anything from the game.
