Dunderry GAA Strategic Club Plan Workshop

May 13, 2012
A Club Plan Steering Committee met on Thursday 19th April 2012 to discuss the putting in place of a comprehensive Club Plan for Dunderry GAA Club.

'The concept of our club plan will be to define goals and objectives with specific timelines to ensure we continue to effectively serve our players, members, supporters and the local community' stated Gus Martyn, Dunderry GAA Secretary.

'This Strategic Plan, will put in place a blueprint for the future of Dunderry GAA Club and address the key issues facing the club over the next number of years. The Plan will cover the following 5 main areas:

1. Coaching and Games Development
2. Club Structures and Administration
3. Finance and  Fundraising
4. Facilities and  Development
5. Communication/PR and Culture
'
'Our plan will be based on consultation at all levels within the club (Men, Ladies and Juvenile Clubs) and also enable people from the wider community to contribute to the future development of the club. Now more than ever, it is vital that as many people as possible are invited to get involved with local organisations like the GAA that provide excellent facilities to the people of the community and in particular the youth of the community'.

'Therefore, an open Workshop will be held in the clubhouse on Thursday, May 17th at 8pm in the clubhouse to generate ideas and discussion. All interested club members and members of the community who would like to contribute to the future development of Dunderry  GAA Club are encouraged to attend.'

'The Workshop discussions will cover aspects such as Coaching & Games Development, Communications & PR, Club Structure, Finance & Fundraising and Facilities & Development. ' concluded Gus.

The aim of Dunderry GAA Club is that our facilities be used by all our members supporters and GAA interested people alike, from our Club Presidents down to our 6 year old players of Hurling, Football and Camogie throughout the communities of Dunderry  Robinstown  and Kilbride to share their ideas, wishes, concerns and advice. This is an open invitation for all to attend on the night and to help us provide a strong, stable and well-structured club into the future'.
