U14 Feile Final: Skryne to represent Meath

Skryne earned the right to represent Meath at the National Feile Finals to be held in Offaly/Laois in June. The Tara boys had to withstand a second half fight back from St Colmcilles in a very entertaining game played at Ashbourne. This will be Skryne's first ever appearance at the National finals.
Playing with the wind Skryne went in at the interval 0-8 to 0-0 ahead. Corner foward Jason Reddy was outstanding in the opening half. The very stylish foward kicked six points in this period.
St Colmcilles fought their way back into the game ewarly in the second half. Goals from Jack Bohan and Gerald McDowell had the gap down to two points 0-9 to 2-1. James Conlon pointed for the seasiders and all the momentum was with the "Cilles". With five minutes remaining the gap was still a point, 0-10 to 2-3. Reddy kicked his 8th point and then laid a pass to Eoin Smyth who finished brilliantly to the net to put the game beyond St Colmcilles.
After the game Paul Mooney Juvenile Board Chairman presented the cup to Skryne captain Darren Fox.
