A wasteful Drumbaragh were lucky to come away from Athboy with a draw on Sunday morning.

After missed early opportunities Clann Na Gael made the away side pay with a goal. However Drumbaragh hit back with points from Peter Carry , Dara Mc Namara and John Smith as well as two goals by Thomas Carry to put Drumbaragh ahead by one at the break 2-03 to 1-5.

The second half started similar to the first with Drumbaragh wasteful and Clann Na Gael taking advantage of this. However an excellent Enda Nulty goal put Drumbaragh back in front. However 14 men Clann na Gael went back ahead after some fine points and went 5 in front after their second goal. Drumbaragh hit back immediately to leave 2 between the sides through John madden. Further points from Mc Namara, Peter Carry and Smith put Drumbaragh ahead before a late free from Gary Woods tied the game for Clann Na Gael.
