Dunderry started slowly in the first half of this minor semi-final, the home team were four points up before Dunderry registered their first point with a S. Coogan free.

A well worked move between E. Daly, J. Brady and A. Walsh almost produced a goal but for a fine save from the home keeper. P. Kennelly and Coogan scored a point a piece but the home side got a goal to lead 1-6 to 0-3 at half time.

M. Dowdall, M. Kane, J. Brady and E. Daly moved positions and this seemed to settle them down and they came out on fire for the second half reeling off four points to no reply. With 15 mins to go Dunderry got a piece of luck and Kennelly scored a poachers goal, then with time near over Kennelly picked up a pass from A. Garry on his own 45 yard line and went on a solo run down the touch line and from an impossible angle scored the point of the game. Dunderry held on to win and wait the winners of Clann na nGael versus Clonnard.
