Walterstown suffered their third defeat of the league when they were well beaten by hosts St. Colmcille's in Piltown.

Walterstown got the first point of the match from a free from Alban Crosbie before Colmcilles got the next three points of the match. Walterstown responded with a free from Robbie McDonnell after a foul on Crosbie. St Colmcilles got the last six points of the half to lead nine points to two at half time.

Walterstown started the second half well with a point from Ruairi O'Dowd and a penalty from Crosbie. Further points from Robbie McDonnell and Crosbie cut the deficit to one point but that was as close as they would get as the hosts scored the next six points of the game before Richie Barry responded with a point the hosts got the last two points of the match to run out comfortable winners.
