Walterstown got the first two scores of the match from a Tom Walsh sideline and a Mark McCormack point from play.
Then Wolfe Tones got the next five points of the game before Walterstown got it back to a point deficit with points from Robbie McDonnell and Mark McCormack. Wolfe Tones tagged on two points before Walterstown finished the scoring in the first half through a Robbie McDonnell free to leave the half time score 0-07 to 0-05 in Wolfe Tones favour.
Wolfe tones raced into a 0-10 to 0-05 lead thanks to three points on the spin. Walterstown replied with three points from Michael Clarke, Robbie McDonnell and Mark McCormack. Wolfe Tones got the last two points of the game to run out four point winners.
It was an outstanding performance from the Wolfe Tones team with exceptional play from Darren McGrath.
