A special game of football took place last weekend at 4:30am in St Mary’s pitch between two east Meath rivals St Mary’s Dads & Lads and St Colmcilles Dads & Lads to honour and remember those in our communities, past players, who left us all to soon.

It was a lovely morning with lot of fun and laughter and some great football skills displayed by both teams,

While the dads & lads match was commencing, our early morning rising supporters completed their 5k Darkness into Light walk around St Mary’s pitch under a beautiful bright sky.

Special thanks to St Colmcilles GAA club for getting up so early and travelling over to St Mary’s Park for such a great cause.

A big thank you to all the volunteers for the lovely refreshments in St Mary’s main hall after the match and walk especially the homemade scones.

A big thank you to everybody who donated during this event last weekend to a very worthy cause and we will be delighted to present a cheque to our local charity SOSAD Ireland of a amazing amount of €822.60.
