Duleek/Bellewstown 2-13 Syddan 0-12
Intermediate finalists over recent years, Duleek/ Bellewstown were too strong for Syddan on Thursday evening in Duleek.
Syddan got off a bright start and led by 0-4 to 0-2 after ten minutes with good scores from play from Eoghan Dillon, Ben Blakemore and Daire Rowe. Duleek/ Bellewstown then began to get the upperhand in the middle third and were cohesive in attack with Alan Bowden very dangerous at full forward. Duleek/ Bellewstown goaled after 21 minutes and half time score was Duleek/ Bellewstown 1-7 Syddan 0-5
Duleek/ Bellewstown started the second half in similar fashion to where they left off scoring another well worked goal in the 3rd minute and tagged on a number of scores from distance. Syddan continued to battle and scored some very good points from play. Cormac Rowe kicked 3 great points in the second period with Sean Clare also booming a long range effort over the black spot.
