SFC: Meade and Morris on fire as Nobber stun Simonstown

Sean Meade and Jordon Morris inspired their team to a fantastic win over Simonstown Gaels in sunny Castletown on Friday evening last 

Between them they scored a tally of 2-14 

Simonstown were first on the scoreboard with a point after 2 minutes. Nobber replied with three unanswered points, Jordon Morris 3rd Karl Casserly 5th and again Morris in the 6th minute. Simonstown hit back with four points to lead 5pts. to 3pts. after 11 minutes.

Scores were in coming thick and fast, Sean Meade in the 12th minute, followed by a Simonstown point, Meade again in the 15th Simonstown replied with 2 points in the 17th and 19th minute.

Meade and Morris share the next 2 points in the 21st and 22nd minute 

In the 24th minute Sean Meade netted following a scramble in front of goal,

Simonstown fought back to score 3 points on the trot but Nobber closed off the half with points from Meade and Morris to lead by a single point.

Simonstown were back on level terms after just 2 minutes with a good score.

Niall Farrell put his side ahead after 6 minutes, Simonstown were back on level terms in the 8th minute.

Morris puts Nobber 2 ahead with two good scores but again Simonstown narrows the gap to the minimum after 11 minutes. 

Between the 13th and 19th minute Nobber hit for home scoring 1-02 without reply, a Sean Meade point, and a fantastic goal followed by a Jordon Morris point, put Nobber ahead by 6 after 19 minutes, looking good for victory.

Simonstown now under pressure hit back with 3 points to narrow the gap to 3 after 25 minutes, 

Nobber extended their lead to 5 with points from Meade and Morris, but with time running out Simonstown hit 3 points in row to cut the deficit to just 2 points.

In a tense finish with Simonstown putting the pressure on and Nobber down to 14 with Brian Meade black carded, held on for a very well deserved 2 point win, and now look forward to the meeting with Skryne in 2 weeks time.
