Bryan Menton has taken issue with his local credit union after it claimed the Sam Maguire was coming home.

The joint Meath football captain and Donaghmore/Ashbourne clubman took to Instagram to voice his displeasure with Ashbourne Credit Union for stating on Facebook: "Sam is coming home to DUBLIN AGAIN. Well done our very own Dean Rock and team. Enjoy the celebrations everyone."

Anyone who knows their geography knows that Ashbourne is in Meath and not Dublin, hence Menton's rage with the post.

His Instagram post read: "Embarrassing and insulting to genuine Meath people from Ashbourne. Support where you're from as an individual, but for a business to post what they're posting on social media, you should be ashamed of yourselves."

Dublin freetaker Dean Rock lives in the area (Garristown), but plays his club football in Dublin with Ballymun Kickhams.
