U14 Div 5 FL: Moynalty are champions

Jack Kirwan lets fly for Moynalty in the U14 Division 5 FL final against Bective/Cannistown in Cortown
Moynalty claimed the first Under 14 Football League title of the year when accounting for Bective/Cannistown in the Roinn 5 final in ideal conditions at Cortown.
Moynalty 5-8 Bective/Cannistown 3-8
Favourites Bective/Cannistown started off well and were 0-7 to 0-3 up at the break
The game really came to life in the second half and the goals flowed. Bective got the first to go seven points up but Moynalty replied with 2 of their own to narrow the gap to a single point. In a see-saw last 15 minutes the winners hit 1-4 without reply go 4 up but Bective/Cannistown replied with 2-2. It was then Moynalty's turn to score goals and they duly obliged raising three green flags to finish with six points to spare.
Moynalty scores came from Jack Kirwan, Dylan Farrelly, Cillian Gaynor, Harley Smith, and Jude Gilsenan.
Moynalty worked hard in this group to get to the final with close matches played along the way, but with the coaching they got from their two mentors Damien Kangley and Cormac Kearney they had the never say die attitude. Credit to Damien and Cormac for bringing on these lads.
