The winners, who won the Division 3 title last year, led by 2-2 to 2-0 at the break with their scores coming from Orlaith Reilly 1-1, Chloe White 1-0 and Emily O'Regan 0-1. Kildalkey joint captain Anna Keogh got both goals for her team.

The game really came to life in the second half. The hugely impressive Reilly, who later went on to play in the Division 3 hurling final with a number of her camogie teammates, opened the scoring with a point. Minutes later Ellen Johnson had the game tied up with Kildalkey's third goal. Boyerstown weathered the storm thanks to some inspirational work from captain Cayla Becton and further goals from Reilly (2) and substitute Libby Clynch (2) sealed a memorable win.

After the game Cayla Becton was presented with the Division 2 camogie cup by John Byrne.
