Kilbride: 4-16 Na Fianna: 3-10
Na Flanna were outdone by a fine second half display from Kilbride in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday morning.
The first half was evenly contested with Na Fianna looking the better team. Na Fianna held a 1-10 to 1-08 half time lead with the impressive Ciaran Regan netting after a fine run from full back. Oisin McCloskey excelled in this half as he hit four points and the omens looked good for the South Meath side at the break.
Na Fianna struggled for scores in the second half, relying on a Stephen Maher penalty to keep them in touch with a resurgent Kilbride side. Sean McDonnell bundled the ball into the net after a high ball into the box but these scores weren’t enough as Kilbride hit numerous late scores to claim the honours.
Best for Na Fianna were Daire Slattery, Ciaran Regan, Kevin Korzeniewski, Oisin McCloskey, Andrew Holton and Ciaran McDonnell.
