The St. Peter's, Dunboyne jersey hung proudly alongside those of Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah in the Liverpool dressing-room before today's Premier League game against Stoke at Anfield.
The jersey was requested by Liverpool in a lovely gesture to former Dunboyne GAA chairman Sean Cox, who remains in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted by two Roma fans before last Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final first leg outside the famous stadium.
"All our prayers are with Sean and his family," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said in his weekly press conference yesterday.
