Jimmy Corcoran in action for Round Towers

Jimmy Corcoran recently signed a professional contract with English Championship side Preston North End but he bowed out in the most emphatic fashion for the Round Towers U16's last night.

Less than 24 hours after keeping a clean sheet for the Republic of Ireland U16's as they beat Bulgaria 2-0 at Waterford RSC, the Drumbaragh youngster togged out for his local GAA club Towers for the last time, scoring an impressive 5-8 as they walloped Slane/St Mary's by 9-21 to 4-3 in their Division 4 clash.

Jimmy has played with the Towers since he was 6-years-old and to mark his last appearance in the green and white jersey, Brendan Caffrey presented the multi-talented youngster with a statuette following the 33-point success at Kilmainham in what proved to be a 'bitter sweet moment' for the the club.
