1967 REMEMBERED The Islandeady GAA dinner dance takes place next Sunday night March 16th in the Castlecourt hotel special presentation will be made to the Islandeady U16 team of 1967 who won the West Mayo U16 championship. John Collins and Tommie o Brien were the managers. Some tickets are still available from all club officers at .25 for this unique event. Buses are laid on for the function and music is by Wavelenth. SENIOR LEAGUE Islandeady welcome Ballina the Connaught football champions to the parish this St Patrick,s day for the first round of the division 1B senior league. Ballina will travel to Islandeady as firm favorites to take the two points. It should be a great occasion for the young Islandeady players to take on players of the caliber of David and Ger Brady, Pat Harte and Ronan McGarity. The game has a 12-noon throw in and all stewards are asked to be at the pitch at 11.00.
