Mayo and Ballina Stephenites star Ronan McGarrity has been honoured once again, this time by the Connacht GAA Writers. The highly-rated midfielder, who fought a successful battle with testicular cancer earlier this year, has ended an amazing year by been named joint winner of the Connacht GAA Writers Personality of the Month award for November along with Carnacon and Mayo ladies football star Cora Staunton. McGarrity returned from his health scare to lead Ballina Stephenites to a surprise Mayo SFC win, and was inspirational in their Connacht club campaign which culminated in a final victory over St. Brigid's.
