O'Malley on the mend
November 22, 2007
Mayo goalkeeper Kenneth O'Malley is making a steady recovery from the injuries received during a Higher Education match recently, which resulted in the 21-year-old being removed to hospital by ambulance.
O'Malley was between the posts for University of Limerick against the Garda College in Templemore when he collided with an opponent and needed urgent treatment.
The Ballinrobe clubman was removed to hospital in Nenagh where he was kept over the weekend, but has since being released and is recovering at home.
Meanwhile, Mayo manager John O'Mahony has been running the rule of a number of fringe players in recent weeks before he decides on a panel for the coming year.
