Mortimer going nowhere
November 20, 2007
Mayo star Conor Mortimer has rubbished reports that he is on the brink of joining top Dublin club St. Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh.
Mortimer, who plays his club football with Shrule-Glencorrib, says there is no basis to the speculation and insisted that he is "going nowhere at the minute".
Plunkett's have emerged as one of the leading sides in the Dublin senior football championship in recent years and their star names include Alan and Bernard Brogan, Ross McConnell and Jason Sherlock, who transferred from Na Fianna earlier this year.
Mortimer knows a number of the Plunkett's players through his involvement with DCU, and it's believed this had led to speculation about a possible move.
