The late of Willie Concannon
The death occurred of Willie Concannon, Shantalla, Galway. Willie was a well-known hurler, winning senior championships in 1960s with Liam Mellows and Fr Tom Burkes.
He was an official of the St Michael's club for many years too. For the past few years he was well known in Pearse Stadium where he greeted visiting teams to their dressing room and was very active in stewarding the venue. He will be missed by many but especially his family. May he rest in peace.
