Roscommon, Galway and Leitrim withdraw from JFC

April 26, 2013
This year's Connacht JFC could take just one game to complete after three counties decided to withdraw after the draw had been made.

Instead of a quarter-final and two semi-finals ahead of the provincial decider, Mayo and Sligo have received byes into the final.

This comes after Roscommon, Leitrim and Galway all confirmed to the Connacht Council that they would not be fulfilling their fixtures in the competition.

The final has now been fixed for Sunday 19 May as the curtain raiser to the senior championship match between Galway and Mayo in Pearse Park.
