The funeral of well known GAA figure Martin McManamon takes place today (Tuesday). Mr McManamon was president of Castlebar Mitchels and was a life long supporter and contributor to the club. From Kilfea, Islandeady and formerly Newport Road, Castlebar, Mr McManamon was a trustee of the club and Castlebar Mitchels this week paid tributes to his hard work and dedication over the years.
Sympathies are extended to his wife Phil, sons, Michael, Martin, Peter, Finian, his daughters Annette, Siobhan, Noelle, brothers and sisters and all of his extended family.
Requiem Mass takes place in St. Patrick's Church Islandeady today at 11am with burial afterwards in Islandeady cemetery.
