Westmeath will pit their wits against the cream of the hurling crop in 2020 after they got the better of Kerry in today’s Allianz HL Division 2A decider at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Joe Quaid guided the Lake County to a 0-12 to 0-10 success over the Kingdom.

A return of 0-6 (four from play) from Killian Doyle was central to their success as, with the aid of the elements, they came from 0-4 to 0-9 down at half-time take the spoils.

Shane Conway registered 0-6 for Kerry but his efforts proved to be in vain.

Meanwhile, Mayo preserved their Division 2A status thanks to a 0-16 to 1-10 over London in their relegation match in Ruislip.
