'Footballer of the Year' Andy Moran is in mourning following the sad passing of his father Vincent yesterday.

An ardent GAA supporter, 79-year-old Vincent died at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar.

He is survived by his wife Philomena and four children, which includes the Mayo star.

Shannonside Radio reports that he will be laid to rest in Kilcolman cemetery in Ballaghaderreen on Tuesday following Mass at noon at Fairymount.
