The proposed multi-purpose sports stadium at DkIT has hit a stumbling block.

Louth County Board was considering locating the new county grounds at the facility but it has now been revealed that Croke Park is not prepared to provide any funding to the project.

DkIT are drawing up a new proposal, which will cost significantly less than the original EUR22m estimate, while Wee County chiefs also continue to explore their other options in Darver and Drogheda. Tweet
