Roche Emmets U12's celebrate their Div 2B league success.

Roche Emmets U12's Played the Div 2b Final last night v O'Raghallaighs in Darver in front of great support for both teams. These teams met in the league just five weeks ago, and the Roche men edged that match. However this was going to be a more contested game with the stakes being much higher. The game started at a frantic pace, with the physically bigger Drogheda men bossing things in the early stages and should have taken the lead only for some staunch defending by the roche full backs Craomhain McGahon and Robert Keenan, who forced the forwards wide making it difficult to hit the target. The Roche Goalkeeper Richard Steiber soon got his side rolling, with some fine kick outs finding the intended midfield pairing of Andrew McArdle and Joshua McGuinness, both of whom worked tirelessly throughout. Any breaking ball that that came about was swiftly gathered up by the clever half backs of Luca Craig-Hay and Sean O Donnell who at all times delivered direct ball in to the half Forwards Cathal Corcoran and Oisin Gaskin, Their trickery and consistent workrate helped the full
forwards James Corcoran and Ronan Bradley be a constant thorn in the side for the O'Raghallaighs back line. This was by no means a one sided game, the well organised and very determined Drogheda lads were giving as good as they got and went in at the interval Just 2 scores down 3-00 to 1-00, the windy conditions not aiding point scoring. The South Louth men came out fighting scoring 1-01 before Roche tagged on another point, However the O' Ragh's hit a purple patch and levelled the game with ten Minutes to go. Fortunately The earlier substitutions, the powerful Niall Connolly and Ciaran Levins gave the Roche lads fresh impetus, and typical of this team when facing a challenge they drove on and hit the remaining scores of the game to see off a gallant challenge. Winning on a scorline of 6-02 to 2-04. This Game was not won tonight but instead over the last few months, with the likes of Ciaran and Donagh Conlon, Conor Litchfield, the Skillfull Alex
McArdle, the dynamic duo of Kyle Callan and Conor Clarke, who all massively contributed to a great team effort and got their just rewards tonight for their relentless effort all season.
