Emmet Og club notes

November 06, 2017

Our €20,000 prize drop took place in the Longford Arms on Saturday evening and was a tremendous success. A very entertaining evening kicked off at 7pm with a cheese and wine reception for our sponsors and was financial backers. This was well attended. The crowd were addressed by Croke Park Stadium director and native Longford man Peter McKenna who impressed upon us all the value of our local GAA clubs to Irish life and the importance of supporting our own local business.

The main action kicked off at 8pm with 9 random people picked from the crowd and handed €2,500 to play with. All our contestants went home happy, some with substantial cash prizes.

We wish to express our gratitude to all who participated in making this event happen and particularly to those who put their money where their mouths are and sponsored the event.

We wish to thank to Orla and the staff at The Longford Arms as well as all in Pallas Marketing who made sure the event was ran in a professional manner.

Finally now that the event is over we would like to encourage all our followers to support the business's and services that supported us in this initiative. A full list of these are on our website www.killoegaa.ie.

Our under 21 team had a last gasp win over Ardagh/Moydow on Sunday morning in championship round 2. We have now qualified for the semi final of this competition.

Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night in the Olde Forge and the  numbers drawn were 6, 7, 13 and 20.   There was no jackpot winner. €20 winners were Donna Rowley Murphy, C/O Gerry Rowley, Noel Prunty, Dooroc, Eileen Quinn, C/O Frank Toher, Patsy Clarke, Garrowhill and Aoife Caherly, Micknagh with Donal Maguire taking the sellers prize.
