Longford launch incentive for hurling supporters

In a bid to boost their attendances at county hurling matches, Longford are to enter supporters into a free draw.

Unsurprisingly, the Longford hurlers have a small following in the county, given the fact that there is only a few hurling clubs.

And new hurling chairman Michael Carrigy is eager to boost the attendance figures at the county hurlers' matches by having a free draw for all Longford spectators.

The first of these draws will take place on Saturday afternoon as Longford host Fermanagh in their crucial Lory Meagher Cup clash against Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

The draw will take place at half time with a ticket to the All-Ireland senior hurling final on offer, while a kids' draw will also be held and the lucky winner of this will receive a €100 voucher for Sportsworld.
