Barry Gilleran will be eligible to line out for Longford against Wicklow in the Leinster SFC.

The midlanders' full back - who was Longford Footballer of the Year in 2011 - was sent off with a straight red card towards the end of the Round Seven NFL Division Two defeat to Louth in Drogheda on April 7th.

However, that red card has since been rescinded on a technicality and the Longford Slashers clubman can now play against Wicklow in the provincial championship opener in Aughrim on May 26th.

Gilleran featured in last weekend's 2-15 to 0-10 SF challenge victory over Carlow and is set to line out in another SF challenge against Offaly at Dunbeggan Park on Sunday afternoon to mark the official opening of the Grattan Og facilities. Tweet
