Longford footballer Paul Barden was honoured at the Longford GAA Gathering.

At the end of a highly-enjoyable event in the Backstage Theatre on Sunday night, the Clonguish clubman was honoured as part of 'A Night with the Blue & Gold'.

A member of the Longford senior team for the past 15 years, Barden - who is in a race against time to be fit for the May 26th Leinster SFc opener against Wicklow in Aughrim - had his praises sang by a number of GAA commentators including Sunday Game analyst Kevin McStay.

Barden has been one of the county's top performers for a decade and a half and he remains a key member of Glenn Ryan's squad. Tweet
