Martin Mulleady has resigned as manager of the Longford minor footballers after three years at the helm.

The former county player was part of the management team that guided the Midlanders to their first Leinster title win in eight years in 2010. Later that year he was appointed to the role as manager.

Mulleady's decision comes after Longford's championship came to an end on Wednesday evening after a 1-17 to 2-10 defeat by last year All-Ireland finalists Meath. Tweet
