Ballymahon Club Notes

There will be a Club Meeting this Saturday at 7.00pm in the Clubhouse. All members requested to attend. Training continues this week, on Tuesday and Friday, with a
Division One game away to Carrickedmond on Sunday, and a Division 5B game against Ardagh on Monday. Our refixed game against Cashel in Division 5B will take place in Cashel this Thursday night at 8.30pm. Please check fixtures
for details of all games. Hard luck to our depleted Division One team, who lost out to Dromard in their second game last Saturday. Hotel worth Eu3800. Congratulations
to the Eu30 winners: John Ryan, Lisa O'Leary, Mary Forbes and David Hudson. Last Monday's Draw was held in The Pigeons,
with the Jackpot worth Eu3900 and the Promoters Prize Eu390. Tickets costing
Eu2 are available from the usual outlets, or you can buy three for Eu5.
Membership is now due and must be paid to Albert Fallon ASAP. Rates
are Eu20 General Membership, Eu40 Players Membership, Eu30 Student
Players Membership, Eu10 Minor Players, Eu5 u-8 to u-17 Players. Minor Membership and Registration can be paid at training. All Membershop and Insurance must be paid to Albert by this Wednesday or you will cease to become a member of the Club, lose voting rights and the Club will not cover you for injury or any other claims. The Minor Club is running a Fundraising Draw, and in a new
twist this year, it is a double draw. Draw One consists bales of
briquettes as prizes, while Draw Two is the Annual Grand National
Sweepstakes Draw. Tickets enter you in both draws and cost Eu10. We
would ask everyone in both Ballymahon and Forgney to support this
venture. The draw will take place on Friday 9th April 2010 in Paddy's
at 10.00pm. Ballymahon/Forgney Gaels are running a Gaelic Football
Activity Camp over Easter for all underage children. This will run on
Wednesday and Thursday the 7th/8th April next. To register at a cost
of Eu10 per child please contact Paul Kelly on 086-3490704 or call to
the pitch between 7-8pm any Thursday or Friday between now and then.

Finally, the Club wishes to extend its sympathy to the Killian family, Newtowncashel on their recent bereavement, and also hard luck to the Convent, who were defeated in the All Ireland Semi Final last Saturday, but who made history in getting that far, by being the first school ever from Longford to win the Leinster A title.
