The Late George Murphy
The death took place in Sligo General Hospital of George Murphy, Mucanagh after a short illness. His remains were received at St Mary's Church, Gortletteragh on by Rev John Quinn PP. After requiem mass he was buried in Gortletteragh cemetery. George was a very pleasant type of man who loved the chat about football and he will be sadly missed in the area.
He was one of the Presidents of the Gortletteragh GAA and they formed a guard of honour as his remains were being brought into Gortletteragh church. We tender sympathy with his wife, and the Browne an Murphy families.
May he rest in peace.
