Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald believes that Limerick will be keen to hit the ground running in Sunday’s League opener at Innovate Wexford Park.
As All-Ireland champions, Fitzgerald feels that Limerick will want to make their mark early on in the campaign.
The Model County are without a number of key players for the opening rounds of the league and the manager admitted to the Wexford People that they face a tough task.
“We have the All-Ireland champions this Sunday and the Munster champions [Cork] seven days later. Limerick will be determined to lay down a marker as All-Ireland champions,” said Fitzgerald.
“It’s going to be very tough as I would have needed a full complement of players.”
