January 15, 2019RIP – Jimmy McEnery (Blondie) & Teresa McEnery
Rathkeale GAA Club would like to offer our sincerest sympathies, to Bernie and the family of Jimmy McEnery, better known as Blondie, who sadly passed away peacefully at his home on Christmas Eve. As most people will be aware, Blondie was well known far and wide for his fantastic GAA skills and picked up many pieces of silverware over years representing both Rathkeale & Western Gaels during his playing days, before going on to be a great supporter and Club member in the latter years.
Equally, we would also like to offer our deepest sympathies and respects to the family & friends of Teresa McEnery, wife of Jimmy (Blackie), who sadly passed away on January 6th. Teresa, was a great supporter of the Club and enjoyed many successful days out over the years.
They will be sadly missed by everyone within Rathkeale GAA Club and the community & may they both rest in peace.
Club Membership 2019
Club membership for the 2019 season is now due. Rates for the upcoming season are as follows: Adult €50, Under-18 €20 and a family rate of €70. The rate for non-playing adult members will remain at €30. This represents good value in comparison to membership costs in other clubs across the county. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O'Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2019, before training commences. We are taking this matter very serious this year and you simply won’t play if you haven’t paid, players are also going to ensure that their fellow players have paid so no excuses.
