Former Limerick star Ciaran Carey has been appointed as manager of the Shannonsiders' U21 team. The former county captain takes up his new role having been proposed for the vacant position at this week's county board meeting. Last year Carey managed the Limerick senior camogie team to an All-Ireland double but will now concentrate his efforts on guiding his county past the challenge of Waterford in their Munster U21 clash in early June next.
