O'Dea, Pake

The late Pake O'Dea It is sad to record the death of Pake O'Dea, Miltown, Kilteely who was one of the parishes best activists. He was involved in nearly every parish club or association. His main interest was his involvement with Teach Dramaiochta, Cloverfield and he took part in nearly all plays put on down through the years. He also had a keen interest in the GAA club having been treasurer of that club for many years. He was first secretary of the Muintir Na Tire Guild back in 1957 and he was secretary of the ICMSA during the 50's and 60's. He was also attached to the re-union committee and he joined the Pioneer association over 50 years ago. During his lifetime he won three All-Ireland novelty acts, tow in senior scor and one in readoiri. His funeral took place in Kilteely Cemetery after concelebrated Mass in Kilteely church at which the following priests were in attendance. Fr's Egan,, Currivan, O'Gorman, Ryan and Holmes.
