Quaid, Bridie

April 28, 2003
The Late Bridie Quaid The death occurred of Bridget (Bridie) Quaid, of Danganbeg. Bridie died on March 29, having been ill for several months. Bridie's husband Jack and her son, the late Tommy Quaid, who died in October, 1998 after an accident, were well known in GAA circles in Limerick. The Quaid home always had a welcome for visitors and there was always time for a chat. Bridie herself was a very friendly person who took a very keen interest in hurling, as both Jack and son Tommy, played for Limerick. For many years, Bridie washed the jerseys for their local club. She was very much a home person and loved to bake the bread and scones. She liked her flowers as well as Irish dancing and traditional music. Bridie was nursed at home up to the last couple of days of her life by her devoted husband Jack and her family. She is deeply mourned by Jack, her daughter Noreen, her sons John, Pat and Seamus, her sister and brothers, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, her extended family and a large circle of friends.
