SENIOR HURLERS:
The Senior Hurling County Championship match with Monaleen has been fixed for Sunday July 30 at 5.15pm in the Gaelic Grounds. Please support this big match for the club.
JUNIOR A HURLERS:
The Junior A hurlers maintained their impressive 100% record in the City Championship after notching a fourth consecutive victory. Patrickswell and Old Christians were equally matched in the opening exchanges, but our greater accuracy built a 0-6 to 0-4 lead within fifteen minutes. Peter Harty's goal established a five-point buffer at 1-6 to 0-4; however Old Christians closed the first half in the ascendency. Their surge narrowed the Patrickswell lead to the minimum of 1-8 to 0-10 at half-time.
The second half started slowly, with points and chances at a premium. Peter Harty's second goal seemed to turn the match decisively in the Well's favour at 2-10 to 0-11. Two additional points were secured to put Patrickswell seven points ahead with only ten minutes left on the clock. To their credit, Old Christians poured forward in a bid to close the gap. Their ambitions were rewarded with a late goal that created some late tension. Thankfully, Patrickswell stood firm and won the match by 2-14 to 1-13.
Our next match is scheduled for Saturday July 29 at 7pm against Monaleen at Claughaun.
MINOR HURLERS:
Patrickswell played out a titanic 2-13 to 2-13 draw away to Mungret. Their next match is scheduled for Friday July 28 at home to Garryspillane at 7.30pm.
UNDER 16 HURLERS
