Patrickswell GAA notes

April 24, 2017

SENIOR HURLERS:

The Senior Hurlers produced a stirring second half performance to beat Ahane in the All-County Hurling League.  The opening half was extremely competitive, but Ahane managed to reach the interval at 0-10 to 0-9 ahead.  However, Patrickswell were electric in the second half, with Kevin O'Brien notching two excellent goals. Meanwhile, our defence restricted the visitors to a meagre three points as the 'Well won out by 2-22 to 0-13.

The Senior hurlers have arranged a challenge match away to Ballyea of Clare on Saturday April 29 at 5pm.

JUNIOR A HURLERS:

The Junior A hurlers received a walkover from St. Patrick's in the City League.

PATRICKSWELL N'SYNC:

The Patrickswell N'Sync choreographer will attend the clubhouse at 9pm on Wednesday April 26 at 9pm to meet with the contestants.  It is very important for people to attend.  We also require volunteers to help with sponsorship, advertising, raffle, etc.

UNDER 15 HURLERS:

Our U-15 hurlers were defeated by neighbours Ballybrown.  Their next game is scheduled for Wednesday May 3 away to Mungret at 6.15pm.

CAMOGIE:

The Junior A ladies drew with Monaleen on a scoreline of 2-10 to 3-7.  The result means that Patrickswell finish top of the league and have reached the final on Sunday April 30.

The combined U-16 Patrickswell/Ballybrown team won their Cup semi-final against Granagh Ballingarry by 2-8 to 2-2 and will proceed to play Blackrock-Effin in the final on Friday April 28.

The Clothes Recycling Drive was a huge success.  The Camogie Club wishes to thank everyone who contributed to the event.
