There was action once again in both codes today as counties continued their battle for supremacy in their respective leagues.

The displays today were as good as what we seen last night, as we were in for a massive treat and with the weather taking a turn for the better, larger crowds are expected to attend games all across the country.

The meeting of Mayo and Kerry was arguably the stand out fixture in Division One of the NFL, while in hurling's top flight unbeaten Waterford and ever-improving Dublin clashed at Walsh Park.

You also have the meeting of Galway and Tipperary, which is nearly always guaranteed to be a spicy affair.

There were 26 games in total down for decision today and in each and every one there was something to play for as some counties push for promotion, while others are battling to avoid relegation.
