Ardscoil Ris claimed the Harty Cup and the local bragging rights when they recorded an emphatic victory over Doon before an attendance of 3,514 at the Gaelic Grounds this afternoon.
After taking a slender 0-4 to 0-2 into the break, the city outfit turned on the style in the second half to be crowned Munster SHC 'A' kingpins for the third time in five seasons.
The game began to get away from Doon when points from Alex Morey (two), Cian Lynch and Ronan Lynch pushed the winners into a 0-8 to 0-2 lead 14 minutes into the second half. It was ended as a contest when Colin Crehan scored the opening goal in the 47th minute.
Ian Galvin added a second major four minutes later as Doon had to wait until the 56th minute for their first score from play from substitute Mark Coleman.
