Scrap Metal Saturday Strikes Again!
Work is well underway within the Club for the upcoming Scrap Metal Fundraiser which will be held on Saturday 22nd June. This is a great opportunity to get rid of your unwanted scrap metal/clothes and also support St. Mary's/Sean Finn's GAA Club in raising much needed funds. Simply bring your unwanted scrap metal/clothes along on the day and a club member will be on hand to offer full assistance. If you require assistance with the collection/transportation of any large items, or if you would like your unwanted metal/clothes collected sooner please contact the committee members; Kieran O'Donovan 085 2302393, Pat Sheahan 086 8835425 or Mary Liston 086 1720277. It is vital that all members of the community get involved and dispose of any unwanted items no matter how small or large the item is. Details of what is allowed and not allowed will be listed on posters and flyers which will be in circulation over the coming weeks

St Mary's/Sean Finns GAA Golf Classic Coming Soon!
We are very excited to announce that the Club will be hosting a GAA Golf Classic on Friday/Saturday September 21st/ 22nd 2013. The price for a team of three will be €120 (€40 pp.) which includes a round of golf in Newcastle West Golf Club followed by a meal which represents fantastic value in today's recessionary times!
So get your swing finely tuned and you and your team may win one of our fantastic prizes on offer. As well as having a fun day out you are also doing your bit for the Club, more details to follow over the coming weeks!

County Intermediate Football Championship
After a tough battle in the opening round of the Championship we earned 2 valuable points after defeating Athea on a scoreline of 1-06 to 1-05 in Tournafulla. We now look forward to our next championship match against Croom on weekend of 22/23 June. Our upcoming fixtures are currently scheduled as follows (times & Venues to be allocated):
22nd /23rd June v Croom, 12th Aug v Claughaun, 19th Aug v St Senans, 2nd Sept v Mungret.

West Junior Hurling Championship
On Monday 3-June we travel to Feenagh to play Feohanagh in the opening round of the West Junior-A Hurling Championship. This is a tough opening encounter for us against a side that beat us well last year so there is no doubt that Feohanagh will carry the favourites tag into the game. We will be under pressure with 6 of our young squad out of contention due to the leaving certificate which will start 2 days later. Other upcoming games in Group-1 are Tour (weekending 16-Jun), Adare(30-Jun), Monagea (14-July).
In group-2 Croagh/Kilfinny play Feenagh/Kilmeedy in Ballingarry and Dromcollogher/Broadford play Askeaton in the Bog Garden both games on Sat 1st June at 7pm. 



West Junior Hurling League
In the group stages of the West Junior League we have one remaining game against Adare having one defeat and two wins under our belt. Semi-finals are on 11th Jun with the final on 25th Jun.

Junior-B Football Championship
The championship begins next Tuesday 28th May at 7.30pm when we travel to Askeaton to play Athea. Best of luck to all involved. This is followed by St Kierans (9th Jun), Knockaderry (23rd Jun), Drom/B'ford (7th July) and Glin (21st July). Quarter finals on 18th Aug, semis on 1st Sept and Final on 15th Sept


Minor Hurling Championship
This competition is now gone into the exam break. We lost to Tournafulla in the opening round and the 2nd round game against Drom/Broadford was deferred.

This competition is also gone into the exam break. A good win over Ballybrown in the opening round was followed up with a defeat to Fr Caseys in round-2. The full list of remaining fixtures are as follows:

Inter County Scene
Best wishes to our club players Eoghan O'Connor, Damien Quaid and Sean Sheahan and the Limerick Senior Footballers in the opening round of the championship at the Gaelic Grounds this Saturday night at 7pm when they face Cork. This game will be preceded by the meeting of the same 2 counties in the Munster Junior Football championship where the club would like to wish our own Paul White the best of luck.

St Marys/Sean Finns Cul Camp will be held on July 15th-July19th

Bord na nOg Results   
Our under 15 hurlers played in a high score thriller however they eventually lost out to the hand of Kilteely on a scoreline of 5-06 to 2-11.

The U-12 footballers played a fine game against Abbeyfeale while the U-15 Football League final has been postponed until after the exams.

Feile Fundraiser
To cover the cost of hosting the Feile Bord Na nOg, we are running a 'Predict the Score Competition' on Limerick v Tipperary in the upcoming Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash on 9th June. Entry cards are currently in circulation so please sign up and support the Club with a nominal entry charge of only €2. If you successfully predict the score you will win or share the pot of money, valued at €150, if you're not in you can't win!
